A year and a bit later, a position came up in National Accounts and, with support from both teams, I moved into the Sales Support role. Since starting, I have had four different roles in four years. I still remember the day of my interview at Liberty Wines when the offices and warehouse were in Vauxhall's New Covent Garden MarkIt would be a 20-minute walk from the tube station on a sunny, hot August day, you would be skipping fruit and veg which had fallen from the crates while loading the vans. When I arrived, there was no sign, the shutters were half down and I thought to myself, "Where and what is Liberty Wines?". Here I am, still in Liberty Wines 15 years later and what a ride has been!! We were roughly 40 when I started, and we are just over 250 today! We built our new offices and opened a bond warehouse with over 6 million bottle capacity.


I think what made (and makes) Liberty Wines unique is the family feel that the founding parents (David and Luciann) have implanted into the company's DNA and after 15 years, it's still solid and lively. At Liberty Wines, you work very hard, but we also have fun on the road to achieve our goals!

At Liberty Wines our team receive 25 days of holiday (excluding bank holidays) per annum, which increases incrementally to 28 days per annum after two years of service. We offer maternity and adoption leave of 18 weeks at full pay, followed by six weeks at 90%, while our paternity leave is 4 weeks at full pay.

We offer a range of travel benefits for our team at Liberty Wines. These include a company travel insurance policy for both business and pleasure (available as a family plan at no additional cost), support for the Cycle to Work scheme and the option of a season ticket loan to ease commuting costs.

Every team member at Liberty Wines is automatically enrolled in the Employer’s Stakeholder Pension Scheme. Employees are required to contribute a minimum of 4% of their salary, which is then matched by up to 5% by the company.

At Liberty Wines, our team can make significant savings across our Portfolio. Our staff discount policy is a 30% saving on the duty-paid list price of our wines, olive oils and non-alcoholic options. Your family and friends are also able to save, with the option of setting up their own account to receive 10% off the same offering.


In addition, all team members will receive access to our Benefits portal, which offers exclusive discounts and perks tailored to your needs, ranging from groceries to getaways, as well as offerings in health, wellbeing, and interest free tech.

Wellbeing is a priority for us at Liberty Wines and we actively account for this in our benefits package. We offer four weeks of full pay per annum to cover sick leave, followed by statutory for up to 28 additional weeks.


There is also an employee assistance programme available to all team members, which includes 24/7 access to GP advice, up to 10 therapy sessions with a mental health professional and support from qualified nutritionists regarding bespoke fitness programmes. This employee assistance programme is also available for your immediate family.
